Today the DWP showed up outside our place to trim some tree branches that were mixing it up with the power lines.
There was a low level vibration from the big orange truck, and the sound of the cherry picker being maneuvered into place. Siofra was intrigued but quite apprehensive. She sat on the bed for a while - eyes wide, ears foward, all hands on deck - craning her neck upward to see what the fuss was about. She couldn’t stand it any longer and crept to the window to get a peek.
It’s very amusing to watch a cat trying to reconcile it’s fear of the unknown with it’s insatiable curiosity.
After getting a good look she slunk down and away… okaaay, that was interesting. I’m just gonna go and hide for awhile… and stayed under the bed until the trucks finally pulled away.
