Mad Jack’s Crockpot Spaghetti Sauce

INGREDIENTS:
* 2 cups medium chopped onions
* 2 large italian sweet peppers, coarse chop
* 2 garlic cloves crushed
* 8-10 fresh tomatoes that were scalded and peeled and cored
* 2 cans of tomato paste
* Pinch of each of theses spices: Italian seasoning, garlic powder, parsley, basil, oregano, crushed red pepper
* 1 pound of ground beef, browned (added after sauce has finished cooking in the crockpot)
* water, as needed (small amount at the start, leave lid off to thicken sauce at end)
PREPARATION:
In a frying pan blend the onions and garlic together with in olive oil. This will bring out juices and will enhance the flavor. Combine all ingredients in the crockpot; cover and cook for 8 to 10 hours on low. Cook the ground beef, season if you like, and add to the sauce before serving.
Add water as needed. Freezes well.
