Sewing Again

This is a vest. Or it will be a vest. By the end of the week this will be a vest. It may not look like one now, but just wait till Sunday when I post a photo of the finished product.
I started this project about three years ago. Paul and I went to the fabric store and he picked out the pattern and fabric. I started work on it, got distracted and it’s been sitting in a box ever since. Now that I got the bug to start sewing again, it’s time to finish it before I start any new projects.
Blame Etsy. I’ve been seeing what other folks are making and selling. I’ve been inspired. I feel the need to sew, crochet, make candles and soap. I need to paint and draw. I need to create. But, egads, I can’t do any of that while this poor vest languishes in a half-finished and neglected state.
So Sunday there will be photos of here. Of a finished vest and a smiling husband. Or at least a finished vest anyway. I don’t know if I’ll be able to get him to model it or not.
