Louis Needs a Good Home
Sep 2nd, 2006 by lisa
Louis is an adorable kitty who needs a loving home. My friend Mara, who lives in Massachussets, rescued him from the streets in her neighborhood and she really isn’t able to keep him. Her comments are included below the photos.

I’ve had this cat that’s been roaming around our neighborhood for about 2 months now. He originally started out with a collar. Lost it about 2-3 weeks ago. Last week I started to see more and more of him. This week I petted him and noticed he was getting skinny and you could feel his ribs. So of course i started feeding him… he hasn’t left our back yard since from what anyone can tell. So my guess is no one else is feeding him. (bastards!!) Wednesday night I noticed he’d been in a fight so I’ve taken him to the vets and taken him in.
He’s a really nice cat. Wednesday he let me mess around with his face while I was trying to figure out what was wrong. He didn’t try to bite or scratch and he didn’t growl or hiss either. I don’t really want to take him to a shelter cause there’s no guarantee they won’t put him to sleep or that he’ll wind up in a good home. So why am I telling you this? I’ve got 3 cats and don’t really want 4. I’ll keep him if I can’t find him a home…. buuutttt….. are any of you interested in a new cat? Please could you ask around to see if anyone you know would like to take him? I’ve attached some pics of him. He is fixed and in perfect health. Tested neg for feline leukemia and aids. I put de-flee-er on him the other night, so no flees. He’ll need shots in 3 weeks after his face heals from the fight he was in. He’s a really, really nice cat. Please help me find him a home!
Oh yeah, my neighbor’s daughter asked if I’d named him yet. I hadn’t so she asked if she could. She’s named him Louis (pronounced lou-ey). He flicked an ear when she called him that, so I guess that’s his name. It kinda fits him.
If you would like to give Louis a home or know anybody who would, email me at me@asilgrif.org and I will forward it on to Mara.
