Hi All, thought I’d send out an update on Louis. About a week ago he disappeared. I’d been letting him out during the day and bringing him in at night. Mostly because my other two little monsters kept harassing him.

He’d stay under one of my plant stands all night. So to give him some space I’d let him out while I was at work. Well, one day last week he didn’t come back.

I’ve been wondering what happened to him. Did some wild animal get him? Did the local animal officer come by and take him to the local shelter? Did someone else decide to take him in? Did his owners finally decide to take responsibility of him and take him back in!!!!

I’d already decided that I couldn’t keep him and would have to take him to the shelter if I couldn’t find him a home. So if he was there, I guess that was OK. As for the wild animal or someone taking him in, well there was nothing I could do about that and I wasn’t going to go door to door in this area asking questions. (don’t ask)

Well just when I’d given up on ever seeing him again.. who comes strolling into my backyard this morning but Louis! All nice and healthy… with a brand new collar on… with tags I might add. So they mystery of Louis (aka Chewy) has been solved.

The new tag has an address written on the back. I’m wondering if I should go check on the people that live there. Maybe find out if I cat-napped their cat for a week…

Anyway, all’s well that ends well as they say. (and who is this mysterious “they” anyway?) Louis/Chewy has a home and I still have only 3 cats. Or should I say one aging queen kitty and two little monsters!
