Winter in April
Apr 14th, 2007 by lisa
Spring is turning out to be a lot like winter. We are going to have our third nor’easter this month and it looks like it’s going to be an ugly one. Folks are complaining, of course. Complaining about the weather is a treasured New England pastime. Some people are of the opinion that this is some sort of strange phenomena, but I kinda expected this. All during the very mild winter we just enjoyed, I had the feeling that we would probably pay for it this spring. Nature has a way of balancing everything out. So far I’ve been proven right.
I don’t really mind it. Paul has been home since he was laid off from his job, and that has provided me with a ride to and from work every day. So I don’t have to walk in bad weather. However, if it’s really bad on Monday I won’t be going to work. It’s just not worth the risk if it’s that unsafe. I’ve got plenty of personal time to cover it.
You have to make the best of what life throws at you, be it bad weather or sudden layoffs. We’ll always have whatever we need. I just don’t worry anymore.
