I haven’t been writing ’cause I’ve been busy too reading.
I quit my job yesterday. I gave them two weeks notice. Paul and I went to Concord today to file papers for my LLC and we are going to start a house cleaning business. I haven’t been writing about that, because I wanted to make sure that we were really going ahead with it before I said anything. At this point we are mostly ready. Now that we have the LLC we just need to print fliers and business cards and start advertising.
I’m not new to this industry, having done this for a living quite a bit when I was in California. I have cleaned houses, churches, temples and offices on and off most of my working life, both by myself and with others. I feel very confident that we will be successful.
I’m just sick to death of being a ‘worker bee’, and having to tolerate unstable, immature, ignorant and rude people. Having our own business is going to enable us to have more control of our time and energy. I haven’t given up on the jewelry or the web design ideas, but right now house cleaning is going to be the quickest way to get our income flowing.
I feel like a weight has been lifted from my shoulders and I can breathe again. Time to move on.
