Wow, this is a really good mood picture–grimy city buildings towering over a green lawn cemetery. It looks like the man is paying his respects but that doesn’t seem to be a marker?
Was this picture taken in Boston? I’m recognizing the large monument at the back of the cemetery. If I remember correctly it has something to do with the Navy.
Anyway, this is a wonderful picture. The verdigris color of the building to the right of the shot is amazing. The contrast with the brick colored structures surrounding it is fantastic. The grave markers look so old and decayed especially in the midst of all the modern structures. Wonderful picture!
Yes, this is in the Granary Burying Ground in Boston. The man in the photo is Paul, and the tall monument to his right is the marker for John Hancock. It’s a beautiful old graveyard right in the heart of Boston.
Wow, what a fabulous shot. That green building really makes the whole shot “pop”. But it speaks volumes regardless. It’s really great. Good job! Happy ww!

What a wonderful shot. Way to catch beauty in the city center. Excellent. Happy WW!
A fascinating photo. Beauty and despair all wrapped into one. Great post for Wordless Wednesday.

Oh my.
I bet most of the residents find it grotesque. Hopefully some residents will feel, well maybe not honored, but special?
