Crime in Milford
Sep 6th, 2007 by lisa
As I’ve written before, Milford has a growing crime problem that needs to be addressed. It was just graffiti and noise. It’s getting much worse, as you can read in Paul’s post today.
Our Police Chief Fred Douglas, is quoted in the local newspaper as saying there has been more violent crime in Milford this year than he has seen in nearly 30 years with the department.
Neighborhood Watch anyone?

You live in Milford, I live in Medford. The town I live in has experienced many of the things you and Paul have written about. It started with graffiti and noise and has escalated. We’re just north of the California border and have had an influx of people wanting to escape the big cities and bring their children to a safer place. Unfortunately, it seems that many of the big city problems have followed the moving trucks. I have no answers and I don’t want to point any fingers. I just know that as I’m getting older the quiet safety of my youth seems to be vanishing.
Yes, I agree with you. It’s unfortunate. I think apathy plays a part, and I would love to see people get more involved in caring for their neighborhoods and protecting themselves.
