A Morning Visitation
Sep 7th, 2007 by lisa
Well I obviously broke something the last time I upgraded. Here are the photos for this post, and I’ll fix this as soon as I can.
When I came back into the bedroom this morning after breakfast, I saw Siofra staring intently out the window. Upon closer inspection I saw that a beautiful dragonfly had come to call.
What a lovely surprise! I took some photos, and I think they came out surprisingly well considering I was shooting through a window screen. Using the macro setting I was able to get a closeup of the lovely lacework of the wings. If you click on the thumbnails below you can see that his right wing has a couple of tears at the edge. Apparently our visitor has seen some action in his lifetime.
A Friday bonus! I was already happy that the weekend has nearly arrived, and that it is payday for Paul and that we have nothing special planned for the weekend. We can both get lots of work done on our web projects and maybe even finish a book or two. Perhaps even gasp! a nap?
So this was an excellent way to start the day, and the weekend. Happy Friday!

Do you and I live in a parallel universe? I got up close and personal with a huge dragonfly Tuesday afternoon and like you, took some amazing pictures of its wings. I’m going to post it on Wednesday.
Your weekend sounds divine. This is my last four day weekend and I plan to do only what I want to for the next four days. It will the last time I’ll be able to do so for a while.
Enjoy your nap, sounds like a splendid idea!
