Wish I Was a Cat

sometimes i wish i was a cat
so i could just lay around, eat and get fat
and everyone would think i was cute
and indulge my single-minded pursuit
of things that interest only me
and wonder at my ability to see
aliens, and angels and wandering sprites
as i wander around the house most nights
sometimes i wish i was a cat

It’s a tough job being perfect, yet cats certainly seem to have the ability to pull it off. Siofra appears to be doing it very, very well. If you’d ask her what hard work it is she might tell you, that is if she’s not tending to more important things like alien gazing and laying around.
