Musings on Sloth, and the Death Star
Nov 26th, 2007 by lisa
It’s been quiet around the Chasing Grace household lately.
I mostly avoided the computer (and anything else requiring effort) this past long weekend. I surrendered to unrepentant slothfulness, and laid in bed as much as possible. I ate junk food and read a Terry Pratchett book, and various magazines. And stared out of the window. That is, when I wasn’t sleeping.
Last night we stayed up way too late watching the Patriot’s game. It was worth it, though. It was an exciting game, and they remain undefeated. The media continues to hail them as an NFL equivalent of the Death Star, despite their simply being very good at what they do. That’s fine. Whatever. What annoys me is football players who whine and complain about how ‘mean’ the Patriot’s are. Dude, if you don’t like what the Pat’s are doing, then get out there and do something about it. If there’s no crying in baseball, there is definitely no whining in football. Fer cryin’ out loud.

Well at least Philly TRIED to do something about it last night
Yes they did, and good for them. That’s why it was such an exciting game.
