I have been wicked busy and extremely distracted. But here is an update.
Paul has been hired by the company where he has been temping. So after the first of the year, we are going to be able to actually save money and not go from zero to zero every month. One of the the things we will be saving toward is moving. We are looking to relocate to the Concord area and, if things go well, we may be able to rent a small house or mobile home. We are both fed up with apartment life.
The weather has been making it difficult for me to get out of the house, and I’m having trouble not slipping into full hibernation mode. All I really want to do is eat, sleep, read books and watch DVDs. But now that we have a plan for our future, I’m feeling more motivated. One of my new projects is to go through all my jewelry inventory and sell as much of it as I can on Etsy, both finished product and most of my materials stash. It’s only sitting here collecting dust, and we really need to save all the money we can. I have a ton of sewing projects as well. So many things need my attention that I’m going to have to start scheduling my work around here.
When Paul starts his new hours at the company, we’ll be able to take walks together in the mornings. I’m really looking forward to that. It’s difficult to maintain that good daily habit for me, and now that he can walk with me, I’ll be more motivated. We’ll be changing our diet as well. Both of us need to slim down and get into better shape.
